Empowering Kids In Faith!

This is really what life is all about. This is what makes the world go 'round. The most awesome experience I've had is going to closing ceremony at Carol Joy Holling Camp on Friday afternoons.

This summer I went again after not having been for a few years and I must say I always leave with renewed energy to generate interest in camp programs for all ages. We all can use an extra boost now and again to make sure our focus is not on our everyday lives, but really on our faith in the triune God.

I can't think of anything more pleasurable than to witness the excitement that exudes from these young people after spending 5 full days together with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ! This is really where the youth are all charged up to come back home and get involved in many aspects of our church and community.

Susan Skogstoe

To learn more about sending a child, teen, or yourself for a faith recharge join Susan Skogstoe at one of these information sessions or give her a call at 379-3148.

Susan will be promoting the camp experience and showing a DVD from one of this summer's camp sessions at Camp Carol Joy Holling to kids in grades 1-12 on Rally Sunday, September 9th in the Music Room at 10:10.

Susan will also be giving two information sessions about camps and other year-round programs on Wednesday, September 12 in the Chapel at 4:40 pm (before 4th & 5th Grade confirmation Class) and 5:05 pm after the 3rd Grade confirmation class.

This Day Is a Gift
This beautiful day is a gift of love
That’s given to us from God above.
With twenty-four hours of time to use
In ways God is hoping we’ll wisely choose.
So why not ask God for both guidance and grace?
Let God set the standards as well as the pace.
Then when the day’s over,
we’ll find we’ve been blessed
With all that we needed in choosing what’s best!
